Two other good resources are:
Bev Kissinger, CLV’s Family Support Worker at bkissinger@clvic.ca, (250) 477-7231 ext 236
Victoria Society for Children with Autism, http://www.victoriaautismsociety.com/
The Autism Program of the Ministry of Children and Family Development is a great starting point for parents of children and youth who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Parents can access information in regards to available services and funding in order to purchase these services.
Parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder can also access information about autism funding by contacting Community Living BC. In the Capital Region, Community Living BC can be reached at 250-952-4203.
Autism Community Training-BC (ACT-BC) is a province-wide information and referral service created to support families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. It is a great website offering further information on services and training.
